I am a Czech football historian and I correct these huge mistakes. Find out about me. There is no source. You could have been the first, but if there is no interest, there is nothing to do ...

My name is Roman Jašek

Hi, Roman,
there is great interest to correct mistakes, but if you don’t know where you found name and dates of birth and death of the footballer, why we should be sure that they are correct? We always prove here why we think that some data is wrong.

But I know where I found it in the registry. But it doesn’t matter. The important thing is that they are two different people. Jan Kopřiva - football player and coach and František Kopřiva - wrestler. That’s the main difference

Vyučený truhlář Jan v klubu prošel všemi kategoriemi a v roce 1914, na prahu světové války začal hrát v prvním týmu „meteorské chasy“. (...)

Part of the book about the fates of forgotten Czech players abroad is dedicated to Jan Kopriv, in which I participated. You have to translate it..

Roman, in your article is written that he came to Sparta in winter 1921 but there are many sources that he played for Meteor VIII whole 1922 (link: ) (link: ) (link: )

Yes, a colleague has a mistake there. This is not my book, I was just supplying life data there. Kopřiva went on a trip to Spain with Sparta in December 1922 and has already stayed there.
