Koeman was captain of the Dutch team. At the beginning of the second half Wouters became the new captain. He left the field after 69 minutes; than Van Breukelen became captain. (link: )

I see two people have named Hans van Breukelen the third Dutch captain of the evening. It is correct that they did take their captain off twice: firstly R Koeman, secondly Wouters. However, and which is also being confirmed through the page which both pieterkooijman and Soproni Démon are linking too, the third captain after the exit of Wouters was van Aerle.

Did voetbalstats.nl at some point clear up their own initial mistake, or was van Aerle always the third captain according to them? It seems odd how two reliable people on here have both put van Breukelen as the third captain, when the site they’re both linking to confirms that it was actually van Aerle.

Also confirmed through video evidence of the match, as per my link.
