This game was a replay of the similar game played on October 29, 1987 with a 8-0 victory for Netherlands. At this time the cypriot goalkeeperwas hit by a obiect throwed from the stand behind him after few minutes. He was replaced after four minutes !

Cyprus federation put reclamation and obtain that the game must be replayed. (link: )
