The name of the game was Swiss striker Kielholz, the first to wear glasses in the World, with two goals. One controversial move was another highlight of the match. The Netherlands had a foul to collect near the penalty area, but Swedish referee Ivan Eklind ended the game just before the ball kicked by Smit, who entered the angle. Without tradition in football, the Swiss won the match and secured the seventh position in the 1934 World Cup.
