The Stade du Mambourg only opened in 1939 (see (link: )
I believe it rather was the Stade de la Neuville, home of R. Olympic Charleroi. (link: )

Luxembourg newspapers of that times wrote that the match was played on the field of Sporting Charleroi, not Olympic Charleroi. So what was the venue of Sporting Charleroi in 1926?

Cela étant, le lieudit s’appelle toujours bel et bien le Mambourg en référence à l’ancien charbonnage ayant laissé place à Ville 2, un immense complexe cinématographico-commercial. Les nostalgiques comme les modernistes y trouvent de cette façon tous leur compte d’une manière ou d’une autre...
Le terrain initial fut inauguré en 1923 avant d’être cédé aux autorités communales en 1936. Il fallut ensuite s’adapter à l’évolution du sport-roi et construire un tout nouveau stade, baptisé pour sa part en 1939 à la faveur d’une partie réunissant le Sporting, toujours lui, et l’Union du Centre.
