4/12/1957, Belfast , Windsor Park. Irlanda del Nord - Italia (2-2). La gara doveva valere come Eliminatoria per il Campionato mondiale , ma, per il mancato arrivo dell`arbitro designato causa nebbia, fu giocata in amichevole.
Panetti (ris), David (ris), Ferrario, Schiaffino, Corradi, Segato, Gratton, Bugatti, Chiappella, Montuori, Ghiggia, Bean, Cervato. Chiappella fu espulso all 83 minuto. (link: )

L’arbitro designato era l’ungherese Zsolt. Fu trovato sul posto non lo scozzese George Mitchell, ma un arbitro locale con lo stesso cognome Mitchell. Quindi non Scozia ma Irlanda del Nord. (link: )
